Whitby
has the densest B&B ownership of any town we have seen. Hugely
popular for short breaks, virtually every street has at least 5
places of accommodation!
Of course, there is the option of staying in Dunsley Hall (book
early - there's only 18 rooms!) but if this is a little expensive
then below are some of the B&Bs we have stayed in on our many
trips to Whitby. Prices normally vary from £19 - £35
per person, per night, which includes breakfast.
The Captain's Lodge ~ Clean, friendly, vegetarian breakfasts,
sea views in room 3! In heart of Whitby
White
Horse and Griffin ~ Gorgeous victorian coaching inn that has
now been converted into a hotel. In heart of Whitby's old East side
streets. Lovely food.
The Olde Ford ~ Situated in Sleights, about 5 mins from Whitby
by car. Beautiful garden with river at the bottom. V. friendly welcome.
The
Royal Hotel ~ Large hotel run by Shearing's. Has some stunning
views over the harbor.
